How lovely are these amazing chalkboard designs from Lettering artist: Dana Tanamachi. Very inspirational! I’m trying to think of how to incorporate something like this into my wedding design.. so many fun ideas come to mind!

loving this new typeface from Hoefler & Frere-Jones: Ideal Sans. It’s clean and minimalistic yet has a lot of character and personality to it. Perfect for layout design!

Beautiful exhibit at the church Saint-Riquier by artist: Peter Gentenaar. I wish I could have seen these paper sculptures in person but the images alone speak for themselves.

I hope everyone had a very happy and romantic valentine’s day! While a lot of people say this holiday is an over-rated day where you end up spending too much money.. I like to look at it from a more positive perspective. Although most of that is true, it did give me and my fiance a reason to break away from the norm for a night. Listening to music in front of the fire, dining out on a weeknight and indulging in way too much food and wine.. what’s not to love about this holiday?! My fiance wrote me a nice card and at the end he says, ‘i love you like a fat kid loves cake’. Not that he made up the phrase or anything, but it made me smile and laugh so I thought I would pass it along

Usually I come home with some weird furniture piece or random metal scraps but yesterday my favorite finds were these great patterned scarves for $1 each! I can’t wait to make some great decorative pillows out of these, I could use a splash of color around the house!

I could not be more excited for my upcoming weekend getaway to Napa. My lovely fiance has planned a wonderful birthday trip filled with wine tastings and wedding venues. As much as I love los angeles, everyone needs a break from time to time and I can’t think of a better place to just get away and enjoy the simple things in life. On top of my list of things to enjoy: 1. nature 2. good food  3. good people 4. the art of doing nothing & 5. wine.. of course!
